In 2017 Derek Lawson began working on another giant candy project inspired by the Nathan's Famous 4th of July Hotdog-Eating Competition held annually at Coney Island park.
Later in 2018, he finalized the project and constructed the master mold and videotaped the now famous event. The WORLD'S BIGGEST GUMMYTM HOTDOG has remained an on-line sensation since then and they are currently in a not-so-surprising state of back order as more molds are being created.

The WORLD'S BIGGEST GUMMYTM PYTHON (aka; "the Party-Python") is often cited as being; "the world's largest readily available for retail distribution candy!" ...a title that has not been taken lightly, but rather proudly displayed by the Gummy Bear Guy TM. This candy monstrosity is routinely the star attraction at parades, fairs and festivals and is often cited for it's incredible size both online on TV shows as well as in numerous print articles.
It has been the star attraction at the Gummy Bear Guy's brick-and-mortar store since he created it back in 2012. The original master-mold that he created is also on display and is often more of a curiosity than the candy itself!
The master mold for the World's Biggest GummyTM Python will be on display along with many other original master molds and artistic candy creations made by the Gummy Bear Guy TM at the SUGAR FREAKS TM Candy Factory and Museum opening soon.

World's BIGGEST GummyTM Alligator
Size: 50 lbs. Approximtely 7 Feet in Length
Always one for surprising his audience, the Gummy Bear Guy TM created this World's Biggest Gummy TM Alligator for the 2018 state and county fair season - at which he has been a featured attraction for a decade now.
Unbeknownst to Derek, another new feature at the North Carolina State Fair that year was an "Alligator Wrestling Exhibition" located just across from his WORLD'S LARGEST GUMMY BEARTM trailer. The timing proved perfect and this became yet another of his giant candy creations to become a sensation on the internet and world-wide.

Size: 225 lbs. 6 Foot Circumference
It's hard to believe that a candy weighing over 225 pounds and that is six-feet in circumference doesn't make the #1 spot. (Maybe that's only because it didn't crush the table it was built on!). But in July of 2018 Derek Lawson created another gigantic candy project that had enough "WOW" factor to launch it to the #2 Trending spot on YOUTUBE (just behind the popular Justin Bieber and DJ Khalid video release).
The project was recorded from start-to-finish over two days. The result was a behind-the-scenes glimpse into just how (and why) the Gummy Bear GuyTM makes the audacious candy creations that he makes... oh yeah, and a WORLD'S BIGGEST GUMMYTM PIZZA big enough to serve ten NFL football teams!
The video has been viewed over 5 million times.

World's BIGGEST GummyT M Man (Wayne Coyne - the Flaming Lips)

This one-of-a-kind item was not for sale, but given to kids in the city of Raleigh... made by the Gummy Bear Guy TM
Size: Approximately 500 lbs.(?!) 6 Foot 3 Inches Tall
As mentioned above and witnessed the day it was made back in 2016, this project almost came to a catastrophic end when the table holding the master mold collapsed under the estimated one-half ton of silicone! When the additional weight of the candy was added (estimated to be an additional 500 pounds!) the bracing now placed underneath the stainless steel table being used slowly began to bow! It was all captured for the FOOD NETWORK show "OUTRAGEOUS HALLOWEEN"!
As the name implies, this was one outrageous project from the outset! A year earlier Wayne Coyne had visited Derek to discuss the project - which would "transform" Coyne from the front-man of the legendary, and Grammy-winning band the FLAMING LIPS into an actual candy himself... albeit HUGE beyond belief.
Derek has been recently quoted as saying: "...the most exciting and challenging project thusfar has to be the giant gummy Wayne Coyne! Considering I was working with one of my absolute favorite artists, doing it for the FOOD NETWORK and it almost ending in a dramatic disaster... yet pulling it off, that's gonna be hard to beat"! This candy was later re-introduced as an exhibit at the American Visionary Artists Museum in Baltimore, Maryland.
What's next then?! There's still talk of him doing a Life-Sized GUMMY T-REX DINOSAUR for another museum! And we will lose our minds over it, no doubt!
